A global company has an immediate need to hire a Senior Project Manager for a long-term, on-going contract opportunity in TORRANCE, CA. Position: Senior Project Manager
Duration: Long Term
Location: Torrance, CA 90501 (on-site only)
Rate: Open, depends on exp level per hour
Sr. Project Manager will be reporting to the program lead, responsible for working with all levels of business management/users to identify projects, and overseeing multiple projects across the enterprise. This role will require extensive collaboration and coordination with the majority of business lines and will require strong business analysis capabilities to help identify technology solutions to support business objectives. define, decompose, and analyze business and functional requirements of the system. The individual will be the key liaison with business users and technical teams and be responsible for managing scope, design, development, testing and implementation as well as user documentation and training efforts.
Responsibilities Include:
• Define project scope, goals and deliverables that support business goals in collaboration with business users and stakeholders.
• Develop full-scale project plans and associated communications documents.
• Effectively communicate project expectations to team members and stakeholders in a timely and clear fashion.
• Liaison with project stakeholders on an ongoing basis.
• Estimate the resources and participants needed to achieve project goals.
• Identify and Manage project dependencies and critical path
• Develop and deliver status reports, proposals, requirements documentation and presentations
• Responsible for managing team members, consultants, vendors and provide oversight on Interactive Marketing projects
REQUIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE: (Resume must reflect this experience)
• 7+ years of Project Manager on large, multi-team Applications projects dealing with multiple, complex process areas and business groups
• 7+ year of experience managing project scope, plans, design, development, testing and implementation as well as user documentation and training efforts
• Must have a stable work history, managing large projects for a metrics environment.
• Experience in analyzing and designing systems that involve extensive use of complex business
• Extensive experience using MS Project, Visio, Word and Excel
• Experience working with Waterfall, RAD or other methodologies/processes
• Education: Bachelors degree is required
• Must have excellent leadership, written, and oral communication skills
